Report to: Director of Finance and Administration

Job Summary

Human Resources Officer will provide quality human resource support
to all directors and staff in the Tanzania Commission for Universities
Collect, analyze, tabulate and maintain personnel data and statistics;
Assist in the administration of recruitment and staff allocation; welfare;
Deals wi1h general disciplinary matters for junior staff;
Oversees the general cleanliness of office premises;
Preparation of manpower development plans, training and career development programmes;
Ensure that staff houses, office buildings and other estates are maintained;
Looks after the welfare of employees in matters related to administration, medical treatment, housing and transport. Ensures that all estates, fixed assets and other property are properly insured;
Assist in identifying manpower needs and proper utilization of human resources;
Ensures that machinery and other office equipment are well maintained;
Any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant executive.


Academic Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications and
experience.
Possession of a University degree with specialization or bias in either Public
Administration, Human Resources Management and Business Administration or equivalent qualification with minimum experience of not less than three years in the field of Human Resources Management, ",

Legal Officer II POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Academic Qualifications
Holder of LLB Degree and has successfully completed one year internship with not less than three years experience in legal matters. Skills in computer applications will be an added advantage.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Indexing, filing and registered government / Commission notices and all other legal documents
Dealing with legal routine matters and correspondence addressed to or involving the Commission.
Advising and helping Higher Learning Institutions on the design and refinement of their charters / constitutions gazetting of institutions with Commission charters / constitutions.
Drafting prescribed Commission legal documents and forms;
Filling and appearing for criminal and civil proceedings in court on behalf of the Commission.
Assisting in the interpretation of laws, government circulars, directives and other matters
Performs any other duties allocated to him / her by superior.

Main duties and responsibilities
Checking of salary records
Checking of banking reconciliation
Audit invoices and local purchases
Auditing of journal entries
Auditing of receipts and payments vouchers
Any other duties assigned by the Chief Internal Auditor

Academic Qualification and Experience
The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications and experience.
Holders of B.Com or BBA degree majoring in Accountancy or equivalent qualifications with possession of Certified Public Accountant (Tanzania) (CPA) ( (T), Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Accountant (CA), with not less than three years experience in areas of auditing issues. Computer skills are essential.
